The pneumatic actuator gate valve operates using compressed air to control its movement. When the gate valve is in the closed position, the sealing surface is sealed by the pressure of the medium. This means that the gate plate's sealing surface is pressed against the valve seat on the other side, ensuring a tight seal. This feature makes the valve self-sealing. In comparison to a single-cylinder pneumatic gate valve, the double-cylinder structure of the gate valve provides twice the lifting force. This solves the issue commonly faced by single-cylinder pneumatic gate valves where valve bodies get blocked and become difficult to open. By incorporating this double-cylinder design, this problem is fundamentally addressed.

The buffer mechanism installed in the pneumatic actuator gate valve effectively decreases the wear on the valve plate and valve body sealing surfaces caused by the downward impact of the piston during valve closure.
